The tour began at the Riverwoods Village Hall


Joan Gand led a panel discussion on Edward Humrich


Humrich homeowners Terry Tackbary and Lynn and Mike Zaremba were included on the panel


Former Humrich owner Susan Keig, architectural historian Susan Benjamin, and Lis DiChiera from Landmarks Illinois


This home was designed by Robert Hausner in 1954 for his own family


The garden adds to the Asian feel

The 2nd owners respected the architectural integrity of the building when restoring it

Humrich always used custom cabinets and lots of wood builts-ins


More Humrich trademark skylights and closets to make use of hallways


A cloudburst allowed us to see the beautifully designed drainage off the roof


A 1966 Humrich home was renovated up to 2006 standards


The architectural integrity was preserved throughout


The new entry is welcoming and inviting


Humrich used the circular design again here
